The Last One - Anxiety, Quitting and Non-Smoking

Smoking can cause all kinds of illnesses.  It can actually cause anxiety.  Anxiety is a state of panic.  Anxiety can be caused by the need for smoke. It can be quelled by giving in to the fear you actually want to quit.  The fear that you need to give in causes you to make up reasons you need it, not that you don’t need it.  The perfect way to quit when you most need it.  Doing it to do it, can cause you to fall into that cigarette reason to need one last one.  Crying out to not be angry is the first thing you need. Another one is that you are being controlled by anxiety, anger, and illogical need for something that kills you.

Panicking is a good way to start. You may realize that something you’ve been doing all your life is good.  Quitting is like starting when you can change.  The change you’ll save is good for you and also your wallet.  Less is more.  The less you do it, the more you will live healthier and better, and be more moneywise.

Small steps.  Putting your life ahead of a cigarette, just telling yourself this last one is your last.  Eventually after every cigarette is put to the end, maybe you will make yourself think better and do better rather than telling yourself you can’t.  Every cigarette is a chance to quit.  Giving up a cigarette is a chance to quit.  Giving into a cigarette is giving into the flaw that you need something truly small.  Take care of yourself before it’s too late.  If it’s not about the money, it’s about the health.  You’ll pay for it later on with medical bills.  Bad things cause more bad things to be happy.  Moving it aside and saying it's over is good but quitting is the only option.  Smoking is not just a dead end, it’s a chance to tell yourself you can stop and quit rather than die of cigarettes.

Giving in.

You can give in to your fears of needing these vain things or that you are giving in to your being, that you are bigger than the cigarette.

Anxiety can be solved by meditation or debugging your anxiety and applying methods and reason with your anxiety, save people use cigarettes as a coping method but in the end it’s the clinging method, your body, and anxiety is in the body.  Smoking causes pressure. The only one thing about cigarettes is they can cause the alleviation that eventually makes you need more each time you release the bad energy.  The apprehension that you need just one more causes you need to have many more.

Realization

You realize that each cigarette is a bit closer to death.  You need to understand that the cigarette only brings death.  Some people say cigarettes are a good habit but truly their only good when you are giving into the cigarette and letting it win.  If the cigarette is losing, and you are counting your money, wondering why you are coughing, looking at your fingers and the tar on them, not able to run up the street, you realize you are losing and the cigarette is bringing it down with you.

Quitting is all in your mind.  The need for that cigarette is just a need for escape.  There are other escapes.  Make a jar for each time you have a cigarette you put money into it.  Eventually you will see how much cigarettes are doing to your state of mind.  As you count the money you’ve saved, hopefully you can go out and do something good with it.  Get away from cigarettes.  They don’t need to be the only thing you want.  That nicotine that calls out your name is not needed.

Calling your Cigarette Bluff

Smoking dates back thousands of years.  People have been smoking since before colonization.  Now is the time to quit.  You can use the patch, nicotine gum, or other methods such as smoking cessation counselling.  There are a million things to do other than smoke.

Smoking can cause panic and anxiety.  Making sure you call it out is key.  Get that cigarette to bet a million to one that you are going to get hooked and unhook yourself and move on.  Make that cigarette pay the price for trying to get you.

Cigarettes in today’s society are becoming a thing of the past.  You can’t go into a restaurant without a no smoking sign or go to a park and have someone look at you for smoking or have a park ranger pull out his pad to jot down that you are smoking.  In reality it’s not worth it.

Gaming your Cigarette

Tell your cigarette you are going to be the one with control.  You are going to play the piece.  Tell it you're not going to let it control you anymore.

For the Health of it

Just a few minutes after you quit smoking your blood pressure will reduce.  After that you can get your lungs back to almost full potential just months after never touching a smoke

Lying to yourself is only damaging yourself further.  You may love that cigarette to death that you would lie to your friends that you quit smoking.  Lie even to yourself that you are quitting smoking.  Nobody can be less honest about your smoking.  That cigarette pack you hide in your pocket, is truly eating a hole in your pocket.  People hide their addiction.  The best they can but really they are only fooling themselves and will pay for it in their older years.

Looking Back

When you look back to smoking you will regret never quitting or at least never trying to quit.  People won’t believe you when they smell that smoke on your body, and that when they ask if you were smoking you say to them ‘no.”  They’ll call you a liar.  Thinking back to how lucky you were to never have had an addiction and telling people that you were a pack a day smoker.

Let Go

Tell yourself that you can stop.  Don’t play games with yourself.  Simply release and let go.

Say Goodbye to the Last Cigarette

Tell yourself you aren’t going to give in and let the cigarettes take control of yourself.  Realize it's not worth it.  Remind yourself that cigarettes lead to more cigarettes and then lead to damage to the body.

Build it Down

Don’t let the cigarettes build up in yourself.  There is a give and take when you try slowing it down and then reigniting the match.

Cold Turkey

Cold turkey is also an option.  Instead of slowly reducing the smoke you can just screw it all and stop.  Turning it off can be better than turning it down.

Drop it

Drop the cigarette and put it out.  If you are thinking about the last one you are smoking, perhaps just putting it out is better than smoking another.

Don’t Think About Quitting

Do it.  Stop smoking by giving up on the nostalgia of it and realizing it’s a bad habit.  Just do it, quit.

Try NRT

Nicotine Replacement Therapies such as gum, lozenges, nasal sprays or inhalers can lead to a healthier lifestyle.

Try Smoking Cessation

Go for a walk.  Talk to a friend.  Try to clear your mind of smoking.

Come Clean

Open up to yourself that going out and smoking is not worth it.

Put the Cigarette on hold

Resist the urge to smoke.  Sometimes waiting for a cigarette can lessen the craving for the next.

My Story

Being around cigarettes so much has hooked

Don’t Let it Get to Ya

Just keep it at bay.  Don’t let the bad stuff get to you.  Try to avoid situations of angst.  Be strong and don’t let it get to you.

Give in to your other Needs

Do things that bring you happiness other than smoking.  Smoking only brings temporary happiness.

Ask yourself; is this worth it?

In order to move on you need to ask yourself; is this worth it?  It’s not either.

You don’t have too

You may want to get the smoke because you need it or have too.  But you don’t.

Don’t Make it a Habit

Say goodbye to your cigarette.  Don’t let it get you from your life.  Cigarettes are the core of social isolation.  The relief is not worth it.

Throw it away.  Say goodbye and never come back to it.  The stress caused is greater than the relief.  By the time you are satisfied you will see the reason why people quit.  You’re always going to want one more.  It’s a never-ending cycle.

Once you get to the point you see it’s not worth it, that is the chance to quit.

Quit Now.

You’re up above.

Wow, you’re alive

Yet gone

You are my best friend

Up above the end.g
